03 July 2010 - Update Notes

1. Lots of changes this go around.
2. Completely new template. A fresh look as well as cleaner interface.
3. Disabled the Chat Feature. It was bogging down the server and slowing the load speed for the site and not used at all. I will keep that function an option for later if need be. I made another option by creating a group on xfire. http://www.xfire.com/communities/starwarsrp/ and the chat room is swtor rp. Information is located on the xfire site.
4. Kunena Joomla Native forum suite: I decided with Kunena as it shares is information and merges completely with Joomla. Making the overall speed, performance and seamless integration with the rest of the website. The only drawback is polls is not an option with Kunena at least till the new version comes out, which will be released with Joomla 1.6. The advantages however concern ease of backing up files, ability to post youtube videos, and uses the same template design as the rest of the site.
5. Community Builder: Community Builder is an excellent tool to merge profiling information, managing users, customization, and having your own groups. For example guild members have their group and Community Builder will allow you declare you guild right in your profile.
6. Updated all Components and Services to the latest stable release.
7. Removed phpBB due to its lack of integration and for security reasons as it required a hack in order for it to work. Replaced Kunena which was designed for Joomla.
8. Updated Terms of Service.
9. Manually moved posts from the old forums to the new forums.
10. Updated Links.
11. Updated Pages.
12. Complete Backup of Website and Databases
13. Simplified the front page.
14. Added Private Messaging
15. Added Groups/Guilds Support: Though the plugin works fine, when looking up or accessing groups, it would appear to go to a blank page. You can find the groups and information is you scroll all the way down. Working on a fix.
16. Moved the official SWTOR RSS feed to its own page.

Future Updates Planned:

1. Update Kunena and Joomla to version 1.6 at release.
2. Fix for Groups.
